Jeff Gable, Head of FIC Research, Absa

Jeff Gable is a Managing Principal, Head of FIC Research and Chief Economist for Absa Group. His research teams cover fundamental macroeconomic and market strategy research on South African and across numerous Sub Saharan markets. Jeff joined the South African business from Barclays in late 2006 as part of the build out of the investment bank. In his 25 years as a professional economist Jeff’s career also spans Deutsche Bank in London, the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC, and the Canadian central bank. Jeff studied Economics at the University of Western Ontario and Queen’s University, Canada.
