Nomsa advises on a wide range of corporate, commercial and project development transactions, with a deep expertise in mining related commercial matters including offtake agreements, structuring of transactions, mining product rail and other logistic transactions (from mine to market), and integration of ESG, socio-economic development initiatives in mining sector and renewable energy projects.
Nomsa is an active member of the Mining Sector Steering Committee and has led various initiatives of the Mining Sector Group. She has presenting in a number of panels, the Africa ESG Conference, the Botswana National Business Conference and was the member of the conference organising committee for Southern Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) ESG Conference responsible for the "Governance" papers and choosing the relevant speakers. She also chaired the governance portion of the conference.
Nomsa has co-authored a number of ESG related articles. She is active in the Energy Sector Steering Committee and has successfully positioned Webber Wentzel as a go-to firm for certain aspects of the Debswana's Carbon Neutrality Strategy, is also a member of the ESG Steering Committee, bringing an Africa centric view of ESG through the whole Africa Sub-Saharan eyes.
She is a member of the Webber Wentzel Regional Coordinating Team for the Southern African Countries stakeholder relationships ➢ Nomsa is an active member of the SAIMM ESG Committee.
She has an LLB from the University of South Africa and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
