Lanre Bamisebi

Executive Director, IT & Digitisation | Access Holdings

Mr. Bamisebi is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience spanning various sectors, including information technology, consultancy, oil and gas, telecommunications, and fintech. He brings a wealth of pan-African experience, having managed IT operations across 22 African countries.

Before his appointment as Executive Director of IT and Digitalization at Access Holdings on August 11, 2022, Mr. Bamisebi served as the Managing Director of Finserve Africa, the fintech arm of Equity Bank. He also held the position of Executive Group Director for IT & Operations at Equity Group Holding Limited (EGHL) in Kenya. Prior to joining EGHL in April 2019, he was the Group Chief Information Officer at the defunct Diamond Bank Plc, where he resigned as Deputy General Manager. His previous roles include Group Chief Information Officer at United Bank for Africa and Project Manager at MTN Nigeria. He has also served in advisory roles for Mastercard Technology and the Tony Elumelu Foundation, offering extensive fintech consulting services to African financial institutions and currently sits on the boards of three publicly traded companies.

 Mr. Bamisebi holds a HND in Computer Science, and two bachelor’s degrees—one in Accounting from Olabisi Onabanjo University and the other in Computing & Information Technology from the University of Derby, UK. He also obtained a master’s degree in business administration from Durham Business School, UK, and is currently undertaking a PhD in Global Strategy. Additionally, he has completed several digitalization and leadership development courses at prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School, Quantic, Wharton, IMD USA, and Cambridge Judge Business School in the UK.
