Joachim Nzuzi, Chief of Staff, ERG Africa

Joachim Nzuzi is Chief of Staff of ERG Africa, a subsidiary of Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), a global metals and mining company with integrated exploration, mining, processing, energy and logistics operations. ERG operates in almost 20 countries and is a growing supplier of critical raw materials for the green energy transition.

In this role, Joachim supports ERG’s Group CEO and ERG Africa’s Interim CEO in implementing special projects and cross-functional initiatives. He also fosters relationships with government authorities and other corporate affairs stakeholders in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

He has more than 20 years of expertise in the business sector and has held several executive management positions in Africa across various industries, including mining and mining services, management consulting and real estate.

He holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Evidence Based-Management from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, a Master of Business Administration degree from the African Leadership University School of Business, a professional certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and an Executive General Finance Certificate from the Gordon Institute of Business Science. He is currently completing an Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.

Joachim is passionate about development in Africa. His postgraduate theses centred around artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) with an emphasis on the role of local institutions in supporting its formalisation; and how to attract foreign direct investment in Africa.
