Yusuf Bodiat, Head of Finance & Investment, African Risk Capacity

Yusuf Bodiat is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Director based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Over the years, Yusuf has built a career that combines his passion for finance, governance, and making a meaningful impact across industries.

Currently, he serves as the Head of Finance and Investment at African Risk Capacity Limited (ARC Ltd), where he provide parametric insurance services to African Union Member States and farmer organisations. ARC’s work helps pool disaster-related risks across Africa, transferring them to international markets, and ultimately contributing to resilience building and food security on the continent.

In addition to his role at ARC Ltd, Yusuf is an Independent Non-Executive Director at Legal Expenses Insurance Southern Africa Limited (LEZA), where he chairs the Risk & Compliance Committee and serve on the Audit Committee. He also contributes in a voluntary capacity as a Board Member at Houghton Muslim Academy (HMA), supporting education from Pre-School to High-School.
