Suzan Pardesi, Head of Energy, Africa Specialty Risks

Suzan is Head of Energy at Africa Specialty Risks and is a qualified chemical engineer with over 12 years’ experience in the insurance industry.

Suzan has a broad range of experience, holding positions such as Risk Engineer at XL Global Services, Senior Underwriter at XL Insurance, Engineering Risk Consultant at Arup, and Senior Energy Underwriter at Lloyd’s syndicate Navigators. A specialist in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, the latter position came with a responsibility for a global onshore energy book of business within Navigators.

Suzan is also an active committee member of the London Oil and Petrochemical Risk Association and the Institution of Chemical Engineers. Taking a hands on approach to business on the continent, Suzan was brought up in Africa and completed her education in London.
