Silven Chikengezha, Global Sector Lead - Health Services, International Finance Corporation

Silven is the Global Sector Lead for Health Services, based in Washington DC. He is a seasoned investment professional with +15 years’ experience in investment banking and M&A on the African continent and global emerging markets. He joined IFC in 2014 and since then he has played a pivotal role in deploying over US$850 million in new investments for IFC’s own account and mobilizations in mostly health services and pharmaceuticals across multiple countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to profitable exits and significant top and bottom-line growth, the impact of these investments is felt annually by +4.0 million people who have access to healthcare and affordable quality medicines. Prior to joining IFC, Silven was an Investment Manager at BancABC (part of Altas Mara Group) advising large corporates, banks, mining houses and private equity firms on mergers and acquisitions in Southern Africa/across sub–Saharan Africa. Before that, he worked at the Nedbank Group as part of the Corporate Finance and Investment Advisory team based in Harare, Zimbabwe.
