Pedro Besugo, Head of Business Development, Invest Africa

Pedro heads the Business Development and IA Consult arm of Invest Africa with a focus on the company's strategic partnerships with private and public stakeholders. With over 10 years of experience working at the nexus of international development and investment across several African markets, he brings expertise on a range of Africa-related issues.

Prior to Invest Africa, Pedro was in charge of strategy and business development for IC Publications Group, a pan-African media, communication and intelligence company. At IC Publication he was responsible to work and advise leading banks and multilaterals working in the African continent, namely, AfDB, Afreximbank and Standard Bank Group.

Before moving to London, Pedro worked for the Netherlands-African Business Council and the German-African Business Association, advising European companies in matters related to trade and investment in Africa. Languages: English and Portuguese.
