Ola Oyetayo, CEO & Co-founder, Verto

Ola Oyetayo is Co-founder and CEO of Verto , a cross-border payments platform for businesses that is on a mission to simplify cross-border payments in emerging markets , particularly Africa . Verto has raised two funding rounds a 2019 seed round of $2m and a $10m Series A in 2021 from world class investors such as Y-combinator, Quona Capital, Eli Broverman co-founder of Betterment and Jeff Cruttendern co-founder of Acorns and Middle East Ventures Partners. Verto was most recently named Fintech start-up of the year at London’s fintech awards and currently processes more than $250m monthly in transaction volumes.

Ola leads a team of 70 with offices in London, Pune and Nairobi and prior to starting Verto he worked in Finance with American Express , Barclays and Lloyds Bank.

He lives in London with his wife and two toddlers and when he isn’t busy with Verto he can be found working on his golf handicap and the charity Iwe-League which he co-founded about a decade ago that helps provide  underprivileged kids in Nigeria with high quality secondary school education.
