Michael Jordan, Senior Advisor, Power Africa
Michael Jordan is a Senior Advisor at Power Africa, the U.S. Presidential Initiative that has supported $22 billion in power generation and brought first-time electricity to 74 million people across sub-Saharan Africa since 2013. Mr. Jordan leads Power Africa's equity fund investments as well as credit enhancements for project finance lending. Since joining Power Africa in 2015, Mr. Jordan has played a leading role in the initiative’s Tanzania, Mozambique, Madagascar and Angola activities. He has 20 years of experience in emerging markets. Before joining Power Africa, Mr. Jordan ran economic growth programs for USAID in Iraq, and led risk management teams at Citi Corporate and Investment Bank, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Mr. Jordan received a MBA in Finance from Columbia University and a BS from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. He speaks Portuguese, Swahili and French,
