Madelein has extensive experience in the area of Value-Added Tax and specialises in VAT since 1994. Her experience in tax involves consulting with mainly corporate clients with regard to tax planning, tax structuring, audit related tax services and reviews, general tax compliance assignments, providing tax advice and doing risk analyses on current tax structures and systems and providing Tax Management advice to clients in terms of tax processes, controls, strategy, etc. She has presented and provided numerous tax workshops, training and updates to clients as well as to KPMG internally.
