Inge Zaamwani, Senior Presidential Advisor, Constitutional & Corporate Affairs
In 2015, she re-joined the Government of the Republic of Namibia as Special Advisor to His Excellency the President on Constitutional Affairs and Private Sector Interface.

Career:
1999 – 2015 - CEO of NamDeb Diamond Corporation. During her reign as CEO, she played a leading role in transforming NamDeb from being a mining company based in Oranjemund to a national corporate with significant national presence. In this role, she participated in key opinion influencing bodies that drives Namibia policies and decisions.
In 2008, following the Global Financial Crisis, she oversaw the implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at ensuring the company sustainability during a period of significant reduced demand for rough diamonds which reduced the Namibian diamonds mining giant’s revenue by as much as 50%. She also plays an active role in Namibia’s corporate governance environment, thereby contributing in shaping Business Namibia contribution to the national socio-economic agenda.
1996 – 1998 – She served as the Director of Mines in the Ministry of Mines and Energy in Namibia. In this role, she was responsible for advising the Minister of Mines and Energy on all matters relating to the performance of the mining industry, including the evaluation of application process, issuances of mineral licenses, monitoring the industry’s performance and reporting thereby ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of the licenses.
In 1995, she worked as the Control Mineral Rights Officer in the Ministry of Mines and Energy, where she worked closely with the Mining Commissioner, supporting him with the implementation of the regulatory requirements for the mining industry as set out in the new Minerals And Prospecting Act of 1992.
1993 – 1994 – I served as a Legal Officer and PA to the Senior Legal Advisor at the Commonwealth Legal and Economic Advisory Services in London, UK.
After Namibia’s independence, she worked for one year, as a Legal Assistant at CASS Namibia (an NGO that was established by Professor Manfred Heinz, to provide free legal advice and research services to Namibians seeking assistance. She then went back to London to complete her legal education to become a Legal Practitioner and complete the compulsory internship programme through the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
