H.E. Nicolas Kazadi, Minister of Finance, Democratic Republic of Congo
His Excellency Nicolas Kazadi, Minister of Finance of the DRC, is a former Executive of the BCC, and a former Financial Advisor to the Minister of Finance of the RDC from 1994 to 1997. In 1998, he was a member of the team in charge of the design and implementation of the DRC's monetary reform.
In January 2002, he joined the African Development Bank (AfDB) as an Advisor and Alternate Executive Director, representing five Central African countries (DRC, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, and Republic of Congo ). A senior official of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 2003, he was appointed Economic Advisor and Strategy Officer for Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Madagascar, and Togo, where he was stationed since 2012.
His Excellency is the author and co-author of several works related to the economy, poverty reduction and governance. He notably published "La lutte contre la corruption en Afrique: défis et enjeux" in 2008.
A Postgraduate of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA) in France (Averroès class, 2000), the Minister of Finance also holds a Postgraduate Degree in Economics from the Sorbonne in France as well as a Master Degree in Economics from the University of Reims in France.
After two years spent at the Presidency of the Republic an “Ambassadeur Itinerant” of President Felix Tshisekedi, Excellency Nicolas Kazadi was appointed Minister of Finance of the DRC in April 2021.
