Hannah Gilkes, Risk Advisory Group, Head of Business Intelligence

Hannah Gilkes leads Risk Advisory’s Business Intelligence and Investigations Africa practice, managing  the company’s investigations across the continent. She advises clients in the oil and gas, telecommunications, consumer goods, infrastructure, and financial services sectors on the risks of doing business in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Hannah is an Ethiopian national. She has lived and worked in Addis Ababa and travelled extensively across sub-Saharan Africa, spending extended periods of time in Ethiopia, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. She is experienced in the execution and management of discreet intelligence gathering; anti-corruption and fraud investigations; asset tracing, mapping and recovery; and, political and security mapping and analysis.

Hannah has worked in investigations for eight years. Prior to this, she wrote, and reported, for publications including Africa Confidential, Africa-Asia Confidential and The Africa Report.
