Gabrielle Reid, Associate Director, Strategic Intelligence, S-RM

Gabrielle is an Associate Director in S-RM’s Strategic Intelligence practice. With close to 15 years in the risk management industry, Gabrielle works closely with clients to develop tailored solutions based on the clients’ locations, exposure, and objectives, analysing changing (geo)political, security and regulatory landscapes to better inform decision-making. She has led numerous recent mining projects, including political risk and threat analysis on Mali’s gold mining sector, copper mining in Zambia and political, reputational and security risks linked to critical minerals in the DRC.  Prior to joining S-RM, she worked for a travel risk advisory firm, and assisted in the planning and coordination of non-medical evacuations across Africa and elsewhere. Gabrielle holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Politics and Psychology, a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Justice and Transformation (Conflict Resolution), and a master’s degree in International Relations, specialising in terrorism threats in East Africa. Gabrielle is also an Enterprise Risk Management Certified Professional (ERMCP) and holds a certificate in Investing in ESG.
