Emily Buckley, Senior Manager, New Technologies & Solar Growth, bp

Emily Buckley is bp’s senior manager for solar and new technologies growth. She began her career in management consulting and private equity, later moving to solar developer Lightsource in 2017. After helping to secure a $200 million investment from bp into Lightsource later that year, Emily supported Lightsource bp’s international expansion into Egypt (through a JV) and India (through the creation of a green PE fund, EverSource Capital). Emily joined bp in 2020 and is responsible for expanding their global solar presence in new markets, such as Azerbaijan, and through integrated low carbon projects.
