Dr. Matt Cavanagh, Group Director of Government Relations, Prudential Plc

Matt Cavanagh joined Prudential in March 2013 and took up his current position in October 2013. 

Prior to joining Prudential, he was Head of Public Affairs at the John Lewis Partnership. From 2003-2010 he worked in a series of positions in the UK Government, as a special adviser to the Home Secretary, the Defence Secretary, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer, and from 2007-2010 as a special adviser to the Prime Minister. 

Previously he spent several years at the Boston Consulting Group, and before that as a Lecturer in Philosophy at St Catherine’s College Oxford. He holds an MA, BPhil and DPhil from the University of Oxford.

Matt serves on the Board of Directors of the UK-ASEAN Business Council and the Board of Trustees of Asia House.
