Damien Moore MP: The Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Tunisia & Libya

Damien was elected the Member of Parliament for Southport in 2017. He spent the majority of his career in the retail sector and was latterly a retail manager for the supermarket chain ASDA before becoming an MP. In May 2012 Damien was elected as a Preston City Councillor, representing Greyfriars ward, and was re-elected in May 2016. During his first term as a councillor he served as Preston Conservative Association chair, as well as Lancashire area chair. In 2015, he was appointed as Conservative Deputy Leader on Preston City Council.

He was elected onto both the Science & Technology Committee and the Petitions Committee – and was also involved in many All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs). He was the Chair of the APPGs for Tunisia, Blockchain, and Benelux. He was appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Cabinet Office in 2019. Damien was re-elected as Southport's MP in December 2019 Following his re-election, Damien was appointed PPS to the Chairman of the Conservative Party. He was appointed as the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Tunisia and Libya in October 2020.
