Chantelé Carrington, Chief Executive Officer, Invest Africa

Chantelé became Invest Africa CEO on 1 January 2024.  She joined from PwC, a longstanding member of Invest Africa. She hails from South Africa and is an accountant and consultant by background, specialising in Financial Services, with more than 20 years experience.  Chantelé brings a wealth of global expertise and networks for Africa as the UK’s Strategic International Markets Leader, looking after trade and investment with Africa, the US, Middle East, China, Japan, Germany, India, France, Central and Eastern Europe, South Korea, Netherlands, Switzerland and South East Asia.  Prior to this she was the COO of the Africa Business Group for the UK-Africa Alliance. 

She is a member of the UK Government’s Africa Investor Group, as well as a member of the External Advisory Board of the UK-African Summit 2024.  She was also the Advisory Group Chair of the Technical Assistance Facility for the UK-Africa Investment Summit 2020.  Prior to this she was an Advisory Board Member of the South Africa Chamber of Commerce UK, Non-executive Director of Siat Group, Board Trustee of help2read and Advisory Board Member of innovaBRICS & Beyond.  In addition, she was a Hult Prize Judge and Member of the Selection Committee.  She speaks for Africa on various platforms.
