Caroline Lytton, Managing Director, Head of Sustainable Finance Unit, SMBC

Caroline joined SMBC in 2007 and in 2023 was appointed Head of the Sustainable Finance Unit within the International & Structured Finance Department, driving business and product development across the sustainable finance space. She previously spent four years as EMEA Head of Power & Renewables project finance and six years as Head of Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals Execution, managing multi-disciplinary teams and obtaining a valuable overview of the interlinkages of energy markets and the full energy value chain.

Caroline has over 20 years’ experience in both lending and advisory, and sits on the board of the IPFA and Pexapark’s Advisory Council.
