Bukola Bolarinwa, Africa Analyst, Control Risks
Bukola provides analysis on anglophone West Africa, focused on the political, security, fiscal and regulatory environment in the region. Based in Control Risks’ London head office, she advises organisations looking to enter or expand operations in the region. Bukola writes for our online subscription services and supports engagements across a wide range of risk management matters.
Before joining Control Risks, Bukola worked as an intelligence consultant based in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, she provided political economy analysis, communications strategy and stakeholder engagement for clients working in key sectors. She is experienced in supporting international donor organisations and development partners on health projects with strong local networks. She has also worked on independent research and consulting projects for the Lagos state government, Nigerian Tax Research Network, Oxford Development of International Development, and the International Labour Organisation.
Bukola is a qualified legal practitioner with an LLM in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick and LLB from the University of Leicester. She frequently writes press articles and grants media interviews on the West African risk landscape. She speaks Yoruba and basic French.
