Boubacar Bocoum, Lead Mining Specialist, World Bank

Boubacar holds a Master degree in Mining Engineering and Economics, and an MBA. He has twenty-five years of experience in the public and private mining sectors. He has been leading World Bank operational activities on mineral policies, governance, transparency, institutional capacity strengthening, and on facilitating dialogue and interaction between governments, the private sector and civil society. He also led several analytical works ranging from mining community development, to ancillary infrastructure development, mining tax administration, skills development, etc.

Prior to joining the World Bank he worked in the private sector on all the cycles of mining operations, mining projects finance and participated to the listing of a company on the London Stock Exchange.
