Barkot Tekle, Head of Central & Development Banks, Emerging Market Financial Institutions, Crown Agents Bank

Barkot Tekle joined Crown Agents Bank in 2024 as the Head of Central and Development Banks within the Emerging Market Financial Institutions (EMFI) group. Prior to Crown Agents Bank, Barkot worked at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) for 8 years, where he led coverage of central bank clients of SCB UK and managed cross-product solutions in Financial Markets and Transaction Banking. Prior to this role, he covered a broad range of EMEA Public Sector clients at SCB, advising on a range of solutions including sovereign ratings advisory and Debt Capital Markets.  Barkot also worked at Goldman Sachs in New York and Tokyo for 7 years and Citi in New York in their Corporate and Investment Banking division. Barkot holds an MBA from Yale School of Management and BSB in Finance from University of Minnesota.
