Purpose of the trip
With its significant copper resources, developed agriculture industry and buzzing capital, Zambia has been one of the most profitable Southern African investment destinations over the last decade. Our delegation, we were hosted by an Invest Africa member, Ian McFadyen, Baybridge Investments, and Sipho Phiri.

Outcomes
Financial Services Transaction: a member of our delegation had joined our trip with the specific purpose of finalising the acquisition of one of Zambia’s largest retail banks. That deal is in the process of being finalised
Primary Agriculture: members of our delegation were taken on a site visit around one of Zambia’s largest agricultural and processing operations. A number of those parties then followed up their visit with a detailed review of business
Franchise Agreement: a member of our delegation is in ongoing discussions around acquiring the franchise
rights to a major F&B business JV around a coastal tourism development
