Togo-UK Investment Summit

The Togolese government has set out an ambitious vision in its new National Development Plan (PND 2018-2022) with equally ambitious targets: GDP growth of 7.6%, 500,000 new jobs and close to $8 billion of funding. With two thirds of this funding needing to come from the private sector, Invest Africa organised the Togo Investment Summit on behalf of the Togolese government.

Invest Africa were delighted to host the Summit, assembling over 100 top UK companies and investors for panel discussions on key sectors of the economy, including infrastructure, digital, agriculture, industry and energy, keynote speeches and a networking lunch. H.E. Faure Gnassingbé, President of the Republic of Togo presented investment opportunities in Togo to the delegation and, on the UK side, the Rt. Hon Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, shared his institute’s experience of working with the government of Togo. Delegates also had the opportunity to hear from government representatives and businesses with experience in the Togolese market such as Kobo360BBOXEcobank and Bolloré.
