Namibia Investment Summit
Strategically located on the southwestern coastline of Africa, Namibia offers a conducive investment environment, serving as a logistics hub and springboard into Southern Africa, Africa and international markets. Amidst supply chain realignments in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, Namibia’s rich mineral resources and strong potential to increase agricultural productivity present promising avenues for foreign direct investment. Increased investments in enabling infrastructure, particularly energy – through the country’s high-profile green hydrogen projects, is set to support economic diversification as the Government pursues its plans to boost value-added processing and achieve export-driven growth.
With its varied landscape, unique wildlife and favourable climate, Namibia’s tourism industry is also set for a rebound as tourists return to post-pandemic travel. Described by Formula 1 star, Lewis Hamilton, as “one of the most stunning places I’ve ever seen”, the Namibian tourism sector has demonstrated its ability to attract influential international travellers and the opportunities to invest in the sector are evident.
The Namibia Investment Summit will be hosted by His Excellency President Hage G. Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia, during the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Investors, financiers, FDI intermediaries and companies interested in doing business with Namibia are invited to participate and benefit from Investment Projects Ready to Offer (IPRO), Public Private Partnership (PPP) Projects as well as opportunities for business-to-business and business-to-government meetings.
