In the lead up to the Intra-African Trade Fair taking place from 11-17 December 2018, we were delighted to partner with Afreximbank and the African Union Commission for the ‘Investing in Africa’ UK Roadshow, which took place on 17th October in London and 19th October in Birmingham. Both events aimed to promote Intra-African Trade and offered exclusive networking opportunities to over 120 members and guests. Joining us a London a stellar line-up of speakers including Emma Wade-Smith OBE, Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Africa, Department for International Trade; Nisrin, Hala, Regional Group Head, Africa, SMBC Europe; Mikir Shah, CEO, Axa Africa Specialty Risks, Holger Rothenbush, Managing Director, Debt, CDC Group; and Nicholas Wrigley, CEO, Winch Energy. Among the panellists for the Birmingham edition were Kanayo Awani, Managing Director, Intra-African Trade Initiative, Afreximbank; Rosalind Kainyah MBE, Founder and Managing Director, Kina Advisory; Chris Mitman, Founder and Head of Export Agency Finance, Investec; and Joe Collins, Director, Africa Build.
