UAE-Africa: Building Resilient Food and Water Systems

  • Dubai Dubai, Dubai United Arab Emirates (map)

As the impact of Climate Change becomes a near and present danger to many living in poverty across the African continent, addressing food security to build resilient African food systems is more critical than ever.

By 2030, it is estimated that climate change could lead to a 20% decline in agricultural productivity in Africa, exacerbating existing issues such as gender inequality and child malnutrition, among others. This session will look into the appetite for investment in infrastructure, innovation and sustainable farming practices and what more can be done to tackle the issue.
