Key political moments of our time – the handover of Hong Kong for one – jostle with Wodehousian observations of grand shooting parties and the right way to wear a club tie in Algy Cluff’s latest gem. Off the Cluff is an erudite and eclectic collection from the much admired pen of a true character.
Reviews of Algy Cluff’s books:
“Enjoyably gossipy, Get On With It also contains valuable insights into business and political life...” – Daily Mail
“… one of the few books I’d read which I wished longer…”
– Charles Moore, – The Spectator
“this rattling, full-throttled, red-blooded memoir
– Richard Davenport-Hines, – TLS
‘… a splendid book…’ –The Times
