DLA Piper continues growth in South Africa with the hire of Lorica Elferink

DLA Piper announces the appointment of Lorica Elferink, a new corporate director in South Africa. Lorica advises domestic and international clients on corporate law, company and securities law, and governance related matters. These include takeovers, private acquisitions, mergers and demergers, joint ventures, restructurings,  listings, and equity raises. Her experience spans the consumer goods, food and retail, insurance and financial services sectors – having been involved in some of South Africa’s most significant M&A transactions, including advising Distell in relation to its R40bn acquisition by Heineken and Sanlam on its R3.7bn partial offer for shares in AfroCentric Investment Corporation.
