Bravura wins Africa Global Fund Award as Best Independent Advisor - South Africa 2024

As Bravura marks its 25th anniversary, it’s time to celebrate not just a milestone, but a legacy of excellence, innovation, and resilience. Since opening its doors in 1999, Bravura has grown into an independent powerhouse of specialised expertise in corporate finance, structured solutions, and services to high-net-worth clients.

“Bravura’s journey has been one of consistent innovation and bold vision,” says Soria Hay, founder of Bravura. “From the beginning, we set out to make a difference – to push boundaries, elevate our clients, and create lasting value in the markets we serve. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved, and even more excited about what lies ahead.”

With a presence in South Africa, Namibia, and Mauritius, along with active transactions in 13 African jurisdictions, Bravura has made its mark across sub-Saharan Africa. This growth is powered by a 60-person-strong team – academically inclined, technically astute, and dedicated to providing personalised service. With expertise spanning finance, law, regulatory affairs, and accounting, Bravura’s team brings decades of hands-on experience to every project, ensuring each client receives solutions tailored to propel their businesses forward.

Bravura’s recent achievements in Namibia exemplify its impact. Over the past three years, Bravura Namibia has doubled its transaction count, with the majority of revenue now annuity-based – a testament to the trust clients place in Bravura to guide them both during and beyond each transaction.

Looking ahead, Bravura is setting its sights on becoming the premier independent financial advisor to high-quality businesses and ultra-high-net-worth individuals across sub-Saharan Africa. “We’re not just here to support growth,” Soria remarks. “We’re here to lead it, helping clients make the tough decisions that define their future.”

Bravura Holdings Limited’s shareholders include African Rainbow Capital (Pty) Ltd (ARC), a fully Black-owned and controlled entity with a 29.9% shareholding, and South African business stalwart Christo Wiese through Titan Premier Investments (Pty) Ltd, holding 12.8%. The remaining shares are held by Bravura’s management and staff, all of whom are dedicated to the company’s vision of exceptional service and innovation.

The company’s name, “Bravura,” reflects the essence of great technical skill and brilliance shown in a performance or activity, a display of great daring.

As Bravura celebrates 25 years, it stands ready for the future – innovating, expanding, and staying true to its promise of excellence, commitment, and bespoke service for the next generation of growth.
